Hypsometric Map Tutorial

Hypsometry is a representation technique of landscape elevation through a continuous color-gradient system. A walkthrough tutorial regarding the preparation of hypsometric maps can be accessed in Boletim da Sociedade Brasileira de Ictiologia (SBI) N°124 at http://www.sbi.bio.br/pt/boletim-sbi, or downloaded at link below. This tutorial was elaborated in Portuguese and in English. The referred tutorial is complementary to “Tutorial – Parte I” (Maps tutorial part I), previously published in Portuguese in Boletim da SBI Nº118. The tutorial is presented in three parts: Part I – Downloading core files (goo.gl/7iPg2L); Part II – Creating a hypsometric map; and Part III – Interpolating 3D landscape shading.
